Katie! Can you believe I figured out how to post a comment? Me neither! Well, nine hours to go . . . and all those shopping trips for dorky blouses, converters, drip-dry underwear are behind us! How I enjoyed learning how to shrink-wrap Q-tips, among other things, with you. Ah, for the preparation. The best prep was going to your church today. Dad & I really enjoyed it, and will keep the message about patience -- James 5:7-11 -- close to our hearts. We are happy for you and your call to make a difference in this world. ReplyDeletehaha I am dying at the 'shrink-wrapping q-tips' comment from Mrs. P! I can totally picture this going down in the Petersen household. Maybe Mr. P in the background explaining the best positioning or an Indian trick. Honestly, I should probably start thinking about that myself...

The people in your village are very privileged to have such a bright and caring person like you--tell them I will come straight there and give them an evil eye and mess things up if they think otherwise :)

Haha, the walking stick or the ninja stars... I'm guessing you didn't get those on the plane! Ah- I miss you already SO much, but can't wait to start hearing updates of the wonderful adventure. Thinking of you Katie!
